Land of the FREE!

Good morning! I wanted to share a card for the 4th of July before I mail it out! Since the 4th is Saturday, I'd better make it quick!

I made a side step card...

Here is a view from the side to help see the layers...

I stamped the sentiments and flag pole on the card base. The flag was then stamped and fussy cut before adding it to the card. The cityscape was die cut out of gray. To finish the card I added some blinb stick on stars and scattered white star confetti.

I will link this card to both Simon Says challenges Anything Goes and Summer

Thinking of you

Hello everyone, hope you week is off to a good start! I can't believe tomorrow is the first of July already. Here is the last card I made for the June Bug challenge over at the Die Cut Divas blog. I just love these stacked critters from Bugaboo stamps

They make me think of my three boys.

For the card I colored the ladybug, stem and ground on the card panel with only basic coloring on the other two critters (so that you wouldn't see white under the popped images). On another sheet I colored in the snail, turtle and flower before fussy cutting them and adding them on the panel with foam tape.

I like how the critters turned out with the dimension behind them!

Lawnscaping Blog hop post

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you stopped by! Today I'm joining the fun with the Lawnscaping Challenge blog hop. My first one ever, I'm so excited!!!

There are so many talented crafters and prizes on the hop, so make sure to stop by and visit them for a chance to win from on of the awesome sponsors.

If you are following the hop sequence you should be arriving from Kim H. .  Now here is my card...

For the background I stamped the drink rings and coffee bean in versa mark then dusted on the Perfect Pearls. On the panel I stamped and colored the coffee cups with copics before adding the sentiment. Decided the panel needed a little something else, so I ran it through the cuttlebug with the stitched borders and love how the stitched border looks.

If you encounter any errors along the hop, please email Laurel directly at laurelbeard at me dot com. Please do not leave them in the comments.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

USA!

Hello blogland! Thought I'd share a card I made while craft skyping with you real quick. It's very patriotic since the 4th of July is next weekend and I need to send some cards out! I made the card with theCAS(E) this Sketch challenge in mind...

My take...

a closer look of the top corner...

The card was pretty quick to make and I could easily make more. I stamped and embossed the fireworks with a glitter embossing powder. Once that was heat set I stamped the USA and colored it with copics. I know the fireworks are hard to see, but are sparkly in person.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you stop by again tomorrow and join me in the Lawnscaping Blog Hop!
Have a great day!!!

Lifesaver

Hello everyone! Just thought I drop in with a quick post. I made this card today with the CASology challenge in mind.

I love nautical themed things! Its the theme of our family room too.

Here is the quick shaker card I made...

Here is a closer look at the tiny beads, glitter and sequins inside...

I stamped my image and colored it with copics. Used a stitched circle die left over from another project for the shaker portion. I did stamp the sentiment after getting the shaker part done. It would've been easier to do it first! ;-)

Dad's day cards...

Today will be a quick post to share the cards I made for my dad and father-in-law. I used Lawn Fawn because I love them so! They have some awesome images to color ( I love to color) and I love the puns.

 Card number one...

I stamped and color the grill with copics on a scrap panel. Took the utensils from the same set to add a border to peek out from under the panel. Die cut the word dad and adhered it to the panel before popping the panel on the card using foam tabs.

Card number two...

inside number two...

I stamped and colored the condiment bottles with copics then stamped the letters D and A. Used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Stamped the sentiment and adhered the die cuts above it. For the inside I stamped the sentiment and image then colored in the image.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!!!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Cute Puppy

Here is my third card contribution for the Die Cut Divas blog June bug challenge. I adore this puppy image from Bugaboo stamps.

I used some selective die cutting around the image so that I wouldn't cut off the snail and grass. Used some paper that I had in my stash and thought  it would be a great compliment to the image. I colored the image with copics to coordinate with the paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello

Hello all! Today's card is another for the Die Cut Divas. I used a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps

The challenge is June bug if want to join us for a chance to win!

I colored the dragon fly with copics and fussy cut it. I used the negative of my hello die as my sentiment ( I love the font) mounted on black cardstock. The card is simple but I love how the colorful dragonfly pops off the page.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Super Day

Just stoppin' quickly this morning before I head to work to share a card I masculine card. I just recently purchased this stamp set from my favorite crafty place (PaperTrix) near my folks. This card will be perfect for my husband on father's day!
I will add this card to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge blog, where I also applied to the DT. Fingers crossed ;-)

The card was pretty simple. I colored and fussy cut the hero. Before adding him to the base I used some copics for shading so that he would look like he was hovering slightly off the card. Stamped the sentiment, added some yellow to it then adhered the hero to the card using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

For my card I colored the ladybugs with copics and then cut them out with some dies before adding the panels to the card base. I keep it pretty simple so the ladybugs would take center stage!
